Study for “The Intervention of the Sabine Women”

One of David’s students, Parizeau collaborated on several of his mentor’s painting including The Intervention of the Sabine Women. Napoléon influenced the arts not only through his personal tastes, but also through his military successes. The combination of these two factors resulted in the Empire style.
