Jean-Baptiste Kléber - 1780

This drawing of the School of Fine Arts was executed by Jean-Baptiste Kléber in 1780, when he was a student in the school. He was an architect in Strasbourg before joining the army in 1783. Kléber later became one of Napoléon's generals, playing an instrumental role in the expedition to Egypt.
