Direct and honest, Marshal François Joseph Lefèbvre remained loyal to the First Consul and Emperor to the end. Though he supported Napoléon’s 1814 abdication, he was by his side again when the Emperor returned to power for the Hundred Days prior to the Battle of Waterloo.
