A pair o Vintage Ardalt Japan Nodder Japanese musicians excellent condition: $200.00
A beautiful set of two vintage Japanese hand painted porcelain figurines-they are nodders with heads and hands that nod. Photos were take under a photo light I received for Christmas which worked great, but but the last photos are in natural light. Beautiful gold gilding on both. Labled and hallmarked beneath from the Ardalt Company-Japan. Ardalt was an American company that had their wares made in Japan. I have tried to find this particular pair for my shop for a long time but I would not settle for cracks, chips or issues on either and I wanted the woman to be playing a shime-daiko. I think her partner has a pair of mokugyo balls (used mostly in Buddhist ceramony) but I am not sure. The man is about 6 1/4 inches wide sitting. She is six inchs wide. They are almost the same height at 6 inches tall I have seen several on and some sellers split them up. I want them to keep playing traditional Japanese music together. It will cost about $52 to ship them insured and safely so I will pay half the shipping because it is getting harder for both sellers and buyers to compete with free shipping of the big guys.Feel free to ask questions or for more photos.
