AMAZING 1880\'s Red & Green Whig Rose Applique Antique Quilt ~Sawtooth Borders:

This MAGNIFICENT cotton 1870\'s/1880\'s whig rose quilt is all hand pieced, hand appliqued and hand quilted, with sawtooth and floral borders.It measures 76\" X 76\" and is in excellent, never washed condition, with mellowing of the green in places, age spotting, and no wear.
There are straight line and grid designs quilted throughout at 7 stitches to the inch with faint pencil marks still visible in places.
The back is white, the treadle machine stitched binding is olive green, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light. The quilt came out of Warner, Kentucky.
