Antique 1890's White TAMBOUR & Cluny LACE Bed Cover/ Canopy Needlerun 72"X115":

One of the most stunning antique fabric items we've ever sold, and we've been selling antique linens/fabrics since 1999 here. White, perhaps just a bit off white, tambour lace with Needle run flowers and cluny lace inserts. A stunning medallion of florals and lace in the center of the piece. Ruffle on top and bottom of piece that fall into scalloped edges with more florals. It can be used as a bedcover or a canopy. Measures approx 72 inches across and 115 inches long. The ruffled scalloped edges are at the top and bottom of the piece, not the sides. We notice a few tiny holes in the netting at the scalloped edge area. Some very very small, one maybe the size of a quarter. We've hand sewn these up before on other pieces with great success, so they were hardly noticeable. If you'd like us to mend the larger one for you, let us know, and we'll do that for you.( Please see last picture) There may be some pops in the spines of the cluny lace or other small holes in the netting that we missed. This is an estate sale item that was a family heirloom. The family dated it back to the late 1800's. The fabric is still strong , not dry rotted. We don't see any stains, and there are no bad odors. It was stored very well by the family, and was a cherished item until the 95 year old mom had to go into a nursing home. The son had no interest in lace, so it needs another appreciative home ! It was hard to capture the true beauty without being able to take at least 50 pictures or more! Just stunning in person.hlcsttpslf
