Antique Art Nouveau French Pink Deco Green Gold Gilt France Picture Frame Deep:
$450.00

This beautiful RARE antique picture frame is a stunning example of Nouveau Deco era.

The frame is made of handcrafted wood and features a carved French Fleur De Lis pattern in yellow, pink, and VERY RARE hard to achieve green gold Gilt.

The square shape and deep three tier picture frame design make it perfect for displaying your favorite photo or Art, which can be easily inserted through the rear-loading photo insertion type. The ornate triple depth and clear antique glass add to the overall beauty of the frame, making it a great addition to any collection.

Manufactured in France in the 1890s and has a photo capacity of 1. The frame is wall-mounted and unbranded, but its quality and style speak for themselves. This is a must-have for any antique collector or lover of Art Nouveau architecture and hand worked design.

Rich in Art Nouveau symbolism, each one of the triple depth frame areas have a distinct gold gilt color and carved depiction.

The outer layer is Floral and Fauna in coppery yellow gold with carved vines, flowers and tiny raised buds.

The second layer of the frame is a pinkish gold with French arches topped with Fleur De Lis, the third interior layer of the triple frame is in Green gold tint with stately carved round raised bead type decoration.

Simply stunning all, the outermost edge of the frame has the Floral Fauna and buds over a textured tiny brick type pattern.

The glass is original and intact.

The glass has the customary pinpoint flaw and or light line from hand production that will not take away from whatever you display behind it.

Only one hanger catch is on the back so you will need to add one.

This is from my Grandmother Grayce's Estate.

It has some dust in the deepest parts of the carvings and some of the gilding has darkened over time.

We have not cleaned it. I prefer to let the buyer clean it as antique patina is a personal thing on gilding.

As you can see by the pictures, the frame is a museum quality piece full of Whimsey and truly beautiful.

Questions welcome.

Free quality careful shipping UPS second day air in the USA only.

Kind Regards, Beverly
