The SaxonPorcelain Manufactory was established in Pottschappel, Dresden by Carl Theimein 1872. One of their delightful figurines portrays a young woman dressed innineteenth century attire, sitting on a large rock. In her right arm, she holdsa hen chicken while using her left hand to collect feed from a bowl. Severalbaby chicks are at her feet, waiting to be fed. The figurine measuresapproximately 4-1/2\" in height and 3-1/2\" in length at the base. Theblue \"S P\" logo and \"Dresden\" mark was used from 1902 andcan be found on the figurine. Additionally, there is an impressed\"S46\" marking. However, it is worth noting that the figurine has somedamage, such as a missing right hand, chips on the chicken\'s tail and onechick\'s wing, and a flower missing some petals. Please refer to the picturesfor a better understanding of the figurine\'s condition. Overall, Dresdenfigurines are lovely and highly sought after by collectors.
