Original Vintage French Mens Travel Case By Paul Sormani.Has the initials \"AJ\" In the leather on the front.Metal locking mechanism is marked \"P. Sormani 10 Rue Charlot. Paris.
Measures 13\" x 6.5\" x 9\" when closed.Opens up like a doctors bag and contains numerous items, including:
7 glass containers with silver lids. Not sure if silver plated or what grading of silver it is. 4 of the bottles are identical sizes with great cut glass around the top. One of the bottle still contains some liquid. The lids of these 4 seem to be stuck closed. There is a rectangular glass container in the middle with a lid that removes. A tube shaped glass container with a lid that removes and a small glass container with a lid that removes. these containers all have slots on a piece that removes from the bag and stands on its own.
Also in the bag is a leather bound inkwell with push button to pop open the lid. Remnants of old ink inside.
A Brush with white bristles and a wooden top.
A leather holder that folds open and is empty but has slots for what may have been nail care products.
A 3 ply fold open leather notebook that is lined with fabric, possibly green silk that still has possibly original paper in it.
2 thin leather holders that would most likely have held combs, but not sure.
Also includes original key with original leather string on the key.
The handle of the bag has broken off and is in 2 pieces but is all included and may be possible to repair.also included is a piece of leather that seems to have ripped off from the top pull tab and a leather wrapped piece of wood that I do not know the purpose of.
The key and various leather pieces will be shipped together in a small plastic bag to keep them safe.
There are numerous compartments for these items inside the bag.
The leather is a very dark green which looks black at first glance.There is a perfume smell to white items which may originate from powder that was on the brush, that item has the most smell.There is a good amount of wear to the leather on the outside of the bag and some staining from possibly tape in one spot. Sold as is.
The bag is dusty and could use a good cleaning but I will leave that to the seller.The inside is in very nice condition.
The key is not required to open the bag. Press the button on top and pull up on the brass rings where the handle originally attached, and it opens.
