I have up for sale a lovely antique patent dated Nov 17 , 1889 Exhibition Show Case Co - Erie , PA & Guelph , Ontario Floor Model Oak Ribbon Cabinet / Display Case. The unit stands approx 47-1/4\" tall , approx 23\" x 25-5/8\" across the top, the main body is approx 18-1/2\" x 23-1/2\" , the base approx 22-1/4\" x 25-1/4\" . There are 9 racks shown , 3 of the center double racks, and 6 of the smaller single racks. The racks are all in real nice original condition - they are wood with cast metal sections that fit onto small nails that are on the inside of the show case.I have additional racks that I added pictures of - 6 of the smaller single racks and a bunch of parts for 3 additional smaller single racks - all they need is to be put together and a nail used to secure the ends in place - plus a few more parts . If you want to add the extra racks you will have to add the small nails inside the cabinet that were originally there. For some reason the previous owner removed these nails .
The case is in really nice condition - the finish is in very good shape. One tiny crack in the glass as note in the condition report - most trivial . I am not sure if the finish is original or if it was refinished years back. its real clean either way. There are a couple of stains on the inside bottom as shown in the pics. The doors open just as they should . I purchased it from the estate of an old dealer / collector and did nothing more than wipe down the outside with an oily cloth.
The extra racks that I do not have shown are slightly darker in color as I oiled them . The ones that are shown in the case , I didn\'t do anything to them but they should be oiled as they are dusty and the finish a bit worn in spots. All the cast metal end holders are in good shape - no damages . I even have a couple extra end caps included . only provides 12 free pics so just message me for pics of the racks.
I no longer have a hauler that is reliable so the item is listed for Local Pickup Only. If you are interested in the case but not sure how to get it delivered - I suggest UShip and ask about blanket wrap haulers. They are your best bet for safety concerns and for price. The hauler that I used for 5 or 6 years no longer responded to my quote requests and have decided to leave all of that extra hassle for the buyer to deal with . I will no longer be the middle man as too many people took advantage of my good will and abused it to the point where I said - no more.
