All postcards which show this in the description are genuine WW1 era used postcards. 1914-1918 unless otherwise noted. Almost all were sent from a German soldier to his family in Germany from various places in Europe during or around the time of The Great War. There will usually be handwritten messages in German, and either a stamp(s) or the stamped postmarks that were in use at the time. Due to logistics and because of the conflict, during the Great War, paper stamps were often not used by soldiers. Postcards would just be rubber stamped and postmarked instead. This was the case for many of the cards I have listed. I have not marked on or altered any cards in any way. All are exactly as found. All writing, postmarks, stamps or markings are from the time when the card was first sent. You will receive the postcard or postcards specifically shown in the photos for this listing.
