Charming Antique French Vernis Martin Sedan Chair Perfume Display Box.

This is an unusual and very beautiful French box shaped like an antique sedan chair. It measures 4 inches X3.5 inches and is 7 inches high. The box has a hand-painted Vernis Martin type design on a type of papier-mâché laid on wood and featuring cherubs on all sides. It is fitted with the original beveled glass windows and has a beautiful blue silk brocade lining. I have another box from the same Estate, almost exactly the same, except that it was made as a music box , which is not working. This one has an inset, which looks like it was made to hold a bottle, perhaps Perfumes? The item has some evidence of wear due to the age but overall I would consider it in excellent condition.
