Exceptional condition - Carl Zeiss Jena monocular compound microscope with a 4 lens turret. This microscope was used in a laboratory for research purposes by the Department of Agriculture in South Africa until the late 1980's. This is a beautiful and high quality microscope and is in an excellent condition consider its age. All the knobs still work smoothly. Everything is still in original condition with nothing broken or missing. The microscope is still 100% functional.
Model number: 258208 - from round about 1930. The microscope has an enamel black body with chrome knobs. The microscope and original wooden box both has only fair, but minimal signs of usage.

Original Mahogany solid wood (the back is plywood) storage box with following measurements: The outside measures 14.56 inches (37 cm) tall, 9.25 inches (23,5 cm) wide and 11.14 inches (28,3 cm) front to back. Carl Zeiss Jena mark on inside of door. Original key included. Box is still in excellent condition.
