Domed top, covered in leather that is stretched over (carved) wood andthen tooled with patterns. It's completely covered in leather, including being lined in leather. There is even a pattern on the leather bottom! So much workmanship. Probably Moroccan because of the pattern.

The box is handmade and I'm just going to guess it was made in the 1970s because it's old (and smells a little old when you open it) but it's still in such good condition I wonder if something leather could be 100 years old and be in this good condition.
These pieces are extremely rare. In fact, I can't find another leather box this big on the web. The box is 15 inches long, 7 inches wide and 7 inches high, and weighs 4.5 lbs. It's dark brown.
The hinge on this box is the leather itself and I see no signs of it being weak in any way. This box has been very well cared for over the years.
