Native American Authentic Antique Sioux 19th Century Hand Carved Stone Pipe; Circa 1860! Decorated in inlaid metal floral patterns and Hand carved Wooden Stem; Quill-Wrapped Handle! Classic flat-stemmed hand carved wooden pipe stem wrapped in plaited quillwork dyed red, yellow, and soft purple, with red-dyed horsehair suspension, feathers, red trade ribbon and purple trade cloth at the base of the wrap. 14 non-magnet square shake solid brass tack decorated stem. Split brown hair hide decorates the wood stem catlinite stone bowl joint. Catlinite lead inlayed pipe bowl alone measures 8.5 inches long X 4 inches. Over all: 27 inches long. Ex-Scottsdale sales.
