Old tintype photo of Lincoln CountyRegulatorsof the American Old Wild West

I have acquired a box of old tintypephotos which I believe date from the 1870’s including this one showing 5 men; beingthe jewel in the crown and upfor sale.

I trulybelieve this one to be an amazing old tintype photo of US national importancein relation to the famous old American Wild West.

I amcertainly pleased to have acquired a tintype showing a group of individuals because it stands to reason that it should beeasier to recognise more people in a group and thereby add much more confidencein relation to the genuine authenticity of the many people shown, as opposed tohaving just one individual to recognise in a photo which could be much moredifficult due to lookalikes of that one individual. So hence, this is aphoto that I have great confidence in being genuine.

Isimply cannot accept the proposition that these 5 men are lookalikes of thesame era who all happened to meet in the same studio and on the same day tohave a group photo taken !

Take a look at the very last photo of Dick Brewer (comparison) photo in this listing. I challenge anyone to tell me that these 2 photos are not of the same person ! The match is so striking and bang on the same person.

Thereare simply too many positive image matches in this photo to the genuine photosto suggest that 5 random lookalikes suddenly all appeared together for a groupphoto. The chances of this are one in amillion ! I am interested to hear whatyou think about this, so please feel free to send me an message.

Thesequential order of the attached photos is: (1st photo)

·Group shot (the actual photo for sale): Note:Copyright stamp is for internet purposes only and is not ofcourse present onthe tintype itself.

Followedby:

·5 individual face shots close up (1 of the faceof each respective member as shown in the Group shot) starting from standingtop left (Yginio Salazar - 2nd photo) to seated far right (FredWaite – 6th photo ) as follows:

-Yginio Salazar (2nd photo)

-Dick Brewer (3rd photo)

-Jose Chavez y Chavez (4th photo)

-George Coe (5th photo)

-Fred Waite (6th photo - unfortunately some scuffing on the face)

- Fred Waite (8thphoto - genuine as taken from the internet)

Reverse of tintype (7thphoto).

Followedby 4 comparison photos as follows: See 9th to 12th photos:

·Real genuine photos from the internet (for comparison purposes only in last 4 photos, and notpart of this listing) of :

Ø YginioSalazar - 10th photo

Ø Dick Brewer(note: Stunning likeness and sporting exactly the same moustache as in the group photo and noteexactly the same circular right ear - being the ear on the left as you look at him) - 9th photo

Ø Jose Chavezy Chavez (note the same square face and jaw and exactly the same right ear - being the ear on the left as you look at him) - 11th photo.

Ø George Coe (comparison of him in the group photo V photo of him as an old man. Note: Both photos show the heavy beard and his mouth pointing downwards⌒). 12th photo.

The size of the tintype is 41/8 inches by 3 1/16 inches.

I truly and honestly believe thephoto depicts members of the Lincoln County Regulators of theAmerican Old Wild West.

To bevery clear who I am talking about, the individuals who I believe to be shown inthe 5 Men Gang Tintype Photo are:

Top: 2Men: Standing: Left to Right:

LeftRight

YginioSalazarRichard M."Dick"Brewer

Bottom:3 Men: Seated: Left to Right:

LeftMiddle Right

JoseChavez yChavezGeorge Coe [1]Fred Waite [2]

[1] George Coe: Judging by the quitedistinctive heavy beard and his mouth pointing downwards ⌒.

[2] Fred Waite: Judging by the quitedistinctive long moustache & likely wearing a circular crown "Boss of the Plains" Stetson hat.

Possibledate of this tintype: Not after 1878, given that was the year Dick Brewer died.

I amdrawing the conclusion that these Regulators posed for this group photo perhapstaken by a famous photographer of that era, and then maybe each member posedrespectively for an individual photo perhaps on the same day.

I would also like to reach out to anyone out there that can possibly help me with starting a formal verification process for this tintype, for example, relevant people I could contact such as historians, facial recognition experts, tintype photo experts etc. So if you can help or advise, please message me.

Andthis particular tintype photo could very well be the only one known of the membersof the Lincoln County Regulators gang posing for a studio group photo.

Anyway, thanks forreading my listing and I am sure will you agree that this truly is a mostfascinating old tintype photo.

Happy to receivecomments.

Please feel free to message me with any questions.

All the best.
