An original 1940s or 1950s large 4x5\" medium format negative. Beautiful vintage view of the Italian coastal area of Amalfi and Salerno - not sure which. Seems to have castle in foreground with bridge like tunnel. It is situated just west ofSalerno, separated from thePort of Salernoby only a harbour wall.[4]The town is known for its polychrome ceramics, a tradition since at least the 15th century,[5]and is considered to be the gateway to theAmalfi Coast.[The main landmark of Vietri sul Mare is the Church of St. John the Baptist, a late Neapolitan Renaissance style building with a high bell tower.
