The ZBZ80 type compass, produced in the 1980s, adopts the American style design of the compass and improves the non waterproof disadvantage of the 62 type compass. The needle body is filled with damping oil, which enhances the accuracy of the compass while providing waterproofing. However, due to the use of plastic materials in the design, coupled with the limitations of plastic technology at that time, the plastic pull ring is extremely prone to aging. The weak pull ring plastic has aged and broken, only the pull ring is damaged but the other functions are intact.
