Measurements-7.4 in. High (18.5 cm.)Of piriform body and flat base, single handle. The upper body painted on a beige slip in intricate geometrical designs. The neck decorated in alternating diamond bands in black and brown in between lines. The rim is trefoil. A very rare type of jug in excellent state of preservation. Intact. Cf: Lot 4, Sotheby's Sotheby's New York antiquities sale, 6 June 2006.
