Rare Antique Black Forest Swiss/German Carved Wooden Glove/Jewelery Box- Musical:

This listing is for a rare antique jewelry/glove box.

The box comes from the Black Forest and is of either Swiss or German origin.

The box is elaborately carved with detailed pheasant carvings on top.

The box has a musical component that can be wound at the bottom. The music box plays 2 songs from the operas, “Il Trovatore” and “Rigoletta.”

This box is in great shape. The music box still plays (see video)

There’s a pin that attaches to the opening allowing the music box to start and stop when the box lid is opened. It’s a bit stiff. But the music still plays when the pin is lifted
