Rare miniature painting of Napoleon's Egyptian Campaign with Giza Pyramids in upper background. Elaborate gilt ormolu and dark green patinated bronze frame. Painting positioned under a slightly convex crystal glass disk. Artist signed lower left or at about the 7 o'clock region (pic 8). French empire period early to mid 1800's.
Good overall condition. Possible minor flaws or irregularities due to initial production or previous use.
Painting's visual size is 3" round. Framed entirety measures 9-1/4" high, 7" wide.
