Before Song of the South was produced, Mary Blair was sent to the South to create reference sketches. These are a reprint of the sketches that she created. I have four different sketch pages so please check my other listings.
This stunning poster boasts fantastic color (sketches are black and white) and measures 11 x 17 inches. It is printed on glossy archival paper and will be shipped protected in cardboard, but please note that it does not come with any matte or frame.

Mary Blair was a prominent American artist and animator who made significant contributions to the Disney Company during its golden age. Born in 1911, Blair grew up in Oklahoma and showed an early interest in art. She studied at the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles and later worked for the Walt Disney Studios in 1940. During her time at Disney, Blair worked on several classic animated films such as \"Saludos Amigos,\" \"The Three Caballeros,\" and \"Peter Pan.\"
Blair\'s most notable contributions to Disney, however, came from her imaginative and colorful concept artwork. Her style was characterized by bold shapes and bright, vivid colors, and her designs helped define the visual style of several Disney attractions, including \"It\'s a Small World\" and the classic film \"Alice in Wonderland.\" Her iconic work has inspired generations of artists and continues to be a source of inspiration to this day.
