EFFECT:

Have one spectator cut the RED DECK and place the cut-to card face down on the table.

With your back turned, a second spectator thinks of an hour from 1 to 12 (say he or she chooses 9 o’clock) and removes that many card (9) from The BLUE DECK, which are placed in the card case.

From the remainder of the BLUE DECK, you the magician then deal 12 cards face down on the table in the form of a clock face.

With your back turned again, The second spectator peeks at the card in the position/time thought of.

Now you….

Correctly name the cut-to card……….. The Nine of Spades
Reveal that the card at the 9 o’clock position is also the Nine of Spades!
The card’s initials (NS) are precisely the same as the legendary gambler’s……..Nick Scott!
Then when they think they’ve seen it all – you mention that when the gambler died, his watch stopped.
The spectator opens the cover on the pocket watch and it’s at the time they JUST thought of …..9 O’CLOCK!.
