A superb porcelain figurine for the Dachshund and Germanophile collector! This large and intricate figurine was produced by Scheibe Alsbach Porcelain Manufactory in Thuringia Germany. It is hallmarked and has an impressed model number alongside. Please enlarge the photos so you can fully appreciate the impressive detail of this figurine. The huntsman wears his hunting gear, with two bottles of beer peeking from his knapsack, rifle and binoculars slung over his shoulder, with a fox head poking out of his game holder. Two Dachshund dogs strain at their leashes (which are leather). The base is covered with naturalistic plants, lichen, moss, etc.. This piece measures an impressive 10" tall by 7 1/2" long by 6 1/4" wide. A price tag of $895 remains under the base.No chips, cracks, repairs or restorations.
