This is a vintage souvenir from the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge, which opened for vehicle traffic, May 1937 (25 cent toll) Included in this set is a piece of California Redwood which was used for the catwalk, during the construction process + original mailer (5 cents postage).
The redwood souvenir is in great vintage condition. The mailer has some slight tears, located at the flaps at each end.

This piece of redwood is premium grade, old growth - clear tight grain ( 6 by 3-5/8 inches)
