Guerlain perfume glass bottle with ground glass stopper and molded stylized \"bees\" on the sides. The \"bee\" was considered as the emblem of the sovereigns of France. Imperial water was the first eau de cologne from Maison Guerlain. It was created in 1853 for Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoleon III by Pierre François Pascal Guerlain.This special order was initially placed by the Empress to relieve her migraines, and earned Guerlain the PFP title, “Patented Perfumer of Her Majesty”. A few years after its creation, Eugenieauthorizes its marketing. The bottle with bees recalls the symbols of the French Empire. Today the perfume is still marketed and the bottle still has its bees, the imperial symbol, in this more modern version.
