Pericles, Prince of Tyre is one of Shakespeare’s lesser-known plays, first published in 1609. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Shakespearean productions were popular subjects for postcards, particularly in England and Europe. Postcards featuring Pericles often depicted actors from London’s Shakespearean theatre scene, such as those from the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Arthur Miller’s play The Ride Down Mt. Morgan (1991) is a modern drama about deception and relationships. Unlike Shakespearean plays, it had fewer vintage postcards due to its relatively recent origins. However, theatrical marketing in the 1990s still used promotional materials, including stage production postcards, especially for Broadway and West End performances.
