Item Description:Vintage Russian Soviet Era Lacquerware Box ‘The Dead Princess and the Seven Knights’ Palekh (Палех) Region, c1970. Hinged box, red lacquer interior. Finely painted scene in egg tempera with gilt, with gilt decoration on the sides. Signed Kuzmenko lower right.
Approx. Measurements:5.75 x 4 x 1.625 inches
Condition:Box in very good condition, slight flaking near hinge, some abrasions and chips to bottom of box. Small indent to side of lid
