Set of three, two large (5\" tall) and 1 smaller (4\" tall).All have a lot of wear from use, meaning it\'s mostly showing on the handle.The handle on one of the larger mugs has been broken and repaired (See Photos).All three have the kind of wear you\'d expect with a much-loved and often-used tankard containing grog, beer, and assorted beverages.
The mugs in real life have a much deeper rich brown color. I even with different backdrops, the photos don\'t match the mugs, so based on advice from my wife, there\'s a Crayola crayon in one of the photos. The crayon is Chestnut, from a standard box of 64. So... if you know what Crayola Chestnut looks like, you\'ll have a better idea of the color these mugs are.I also had trouble with glare and reflections. Yes, if you look very close, you can see me in the metallic trim at the top of the mugs. The trim is SO reflective, I couldn\'t tell if it was silver or gold, because it picks up all the colors in the room. So I\'m deferring to my wife, who told me very firmly that it\'s silver. :^)
Even with the years of honest wear, these are gorgeous. All are fit to drink from. All have minor scratches here and there. The one thing I don\'t like is the repaired handle on one of the large mugs. It seems sturdy, but it\'s very visible.All that said, I still find them beautiful.The front has line art of a three-masted, fully rigged ship, the H.M.S. Victory.The back has the quote \"England expects that every man will do his duty.\"The bottom has the maker\'s stamp, and reads \"handcrafted in England\".
