Edith Viola Walton was born 8 July 1901 in McMinn Co., Tennessee, daughter of Caswell \"Case\" Lafayette Walton (1859 - 1919) and Mary Ara Edna Jameson (1863 - 1903). On the 3rd of June 1917, she married Colonel Benjamin Newman, born 29 May 1899 in McMinn Co., Tennessee, son of James Hugh Newman (1871 - 1950) and Adaline McNabb (1877 - 1925). They divorced. Her second husband was George Clifford McKeehan, born 20 January 1907 in Athens, McMinn Co., Tennessee. Viola died 8 June 1951 and was laid to rest near her infant son in Green Hill Cemetery, Etowah, McMinn Co., Tennessee. Clifford died 21 December 1955 and rests in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens.

Photographmeasures3.5 x5.5 inches and is in very good condition for its age, but as to be expected ofthe normal wear associated with a photothis old, it is not perfect.There is typical aging and the lower left corner is creased.
