Authentic WWII German M40 helmet, stamped with lot number DN76. Likely produced by Eisenhüttenwerk Thale (ET), Quist (Q), or SE. Features stamped vent holes and retains some original black paint with signs of wear. The interior is rusted, and the liner and chinstrap are missing. A genuine wartime artifact, ideal for collectors, historians, or restoration projects. helmet marked NS68, indicating it was manufactured by Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke, Schwerte. The shell size is 68, one of the largest produced, and it would typically be paired with a liner size of 60-61 cm. The marking is somewhat worn, please check the photos
