Beautiful, bright lantern
The #90 D-Lite is the only Dietz model lantern I've ever had issues with. The 2 piece, non rising cone burner is sloppy and fits loosely inside the fount's air chamber cup. As a result, the burner would wobble under the flame cone/spreader. That made the flame volatile and unsteady after the lantern got hot. However, there's good news. I put an o-ring around the bottom collar of the burner and reinstalled the burner into the air chamber. When I put the flame cone/diffuser cover back on, the burner was tight. Now, my #90 lanterns have steady and stable flames. No more volatility. Don't worry, the 0-ring will not melt. That part of the burner does not get hot inside the air chamber cup. My 2 D-Lites perform very well now and put out solid 12 candlepower illumination. The burner flame ... The #90 D-Lite is the only Dietz model lantern I've ever had issues with. Bad quality
I have some oil lamps from Feurhand and they are of a far superior build quality. I think the American made Dietz lanterns from the past are much nicer. However, I will say the the black and gold look of this particular latter is very pleasing to the eye. This lantern will be filled with citronella oil and used on the balcony in the summer to ward off bugs.

This is a wonderful hurricane. Besides being a beautiful exterior of black and gold, we put citronella Oil in it as we are a mosquito country. Now we can sit outside without being eaten up by bugs. I highly recommend this item!
