I contacted the seller, and was offered a refund or exchange. With the added cost of returning the amethyst geode it would just add insult to injury. The "precision" cut on the sample wouldn't allow it to stand, so I had to form a stand for it. The color isn't as vibrant as the obviously cherry picked samples shown on eBay. Overall it's not a horrible sample. It's just not as described, and that's disappointing.
