Brass lock is obviously made in India, which is OK. Had two quality issues, appearance only. First, the brass screws didn't fit the countersink and one had an incomplete slot - simply got new screws at local hardware store. Second, the polishing is incomplete. It was not polished on the entire area - borders are still rough cast. Item description states "polished brass". The latch will work fine on a screen door. Just disappointed these quality issues were not caught by seller.
