    Good book, but not for everyone

    It tells a story about a person who is confused about their gender. It's kinda all over the place, but see why. I think this book would be great for a young teen to older teens, so I think high school maybe middle school age kids. I would not recommend this for someone in elementary school due to some graphic stuff. Other than that it was a good book & you definitely need an open mind for it

    Interesting title. Defined my confusion pretty well, especially the picture.

    Although I was sometimes confused by the book it gave me a better perspective of the life of a child and grown person who are not necessarily gay or trans but there is a whole list of possibilities and how distant some people can feel since the are "different" than the majority. A deeper understanding is probably one of the first steps but just having respect is probably the most important. I may never understand the feeling but I can respect that there is a difference.

That is not how "e" would describe "erself," but for purposes of this review and with apologies to "er," I will try to avoid all pronouns, because most people reading will handle the matter better if I do. It tells the story of an intelligent person from earliest self-awareness to the present moment. This person is chaste, family-centered, obsessed with reading for knowledge and pleasure. Blessed with sensitive and understanding parents, supportive siblings too, family has always been a central part of life. Education is cherished and the author has earned a Masters Degee.
