Discovered and acquired recently from online dealer from California. Potentially signed by Andy Warhol. The letters “I ca” can be seen on reverse with the pen running out of ink on the letter ‘a’ then repetition over previous letters in a failed effort to regain ink flow.

I encourage potential buyers to perform a simple transparency overlay comparison to known photos of Andy Warhol. iOs Art apps such as Procreate or Sketchbook allow the user to adjust transparency levels between two layers. Simply insert either image on one layer then add another layer with the other image inserted then turn transparency down to say 50% then match eyes to nostril to ears. It is best to find a similar image of the subject in same direction of gaze. I believe without doubt that this is Andy Warhol.

2” tall 1.5” inches across. The photograph had been trimmed by previous owner or Andy himself to an ellipse through rounding of all corners.
