From a cache of oversize vintage United States Air Force aircraft photos, I\'m offering this 9 July 1947 dated photo of a Northrop F-15 Reporter aircraft. Marked \"Restricted\" on the photo, the plane depicted is based on the P-61 Black Widow. The experimental XP-61E was modified by having its armament removed and a revised nose fitted. These served mainly with the 8th Photographic Reconnaissance Squadron in Japan and provided vital aerial mapping in the early stages of the Korean War. They were put into service the first time in July of 1945. The photo measures 9 by 10 3/4 inches.Some creases, stains/smudges. Please review the photos as they are part of the description and show the actual item you will receive.
