These wonderful 3 piecesare Imperial Russian era (circa 1900) made in the city of Tula vases. Tula isknown for its brass products, including ammunition shells. In fact, I think the2 narrow vases look like “shell art”—could they be World War I shell casingsthat have been hammered into vases? Wonderful Arts and Craft simplicity in their forms. The flared, bulbous vase on the left stands a little over 8 inches tall. It is marked on the base with the Russian Imperial (Romanov) double-eagle mark and in Cyrillic it says that it was made in Tula. The middle vase stands about 7 3/4" tall and flares at the top. You can see the dovetailing up one side (see the closeup photo). The vase is marked on the base with the Russian Imperial (Romanov) double-eagle mark. The vase on the extreme right stands about 5 inches tall and is flared/flattened at the top. The hammering is in beautiful deep circular dots. There is no maker's mark on the base. All 3 of these vases came from the same estate, so I am selling them together as a lot. They look beautiful together!
