DESCRIPTION & CONDITION

This sale is for a very attractive, vintage satin pillow sham or small \"banner\" in excellent vintage condition. Items like these also known as sweetheart pillows were made circa 1940s-\'50s, probably overseas (Asia), for soldiers of foreign wars (WWll / KOREA) to send or bring back to family members such as their mothers, sisters or simply themselves. Photo\'s do not show it but there is a slit opening on one side where you can fit a sham pillow.This item is very clean but due to age and storage, there is a very slight scent of old fabric detected. This is typical and nothing to be concerned about. This item is a very attractive, displayable and a great conversation piece for the militaria collector. With these beautiful old school tattoo style, silk screened graphics, once framed it will look fantastic on the wall. Before having it framed, you can get creative and place a photo in the center of a loved one who served in the Navy in WW2 or after. A greatoriginal collectors piece.
