(6) VTG Mid Century Cera 22K Gold World Atlas Maps Double Old Fashioned Glasses ***This listing is for the identical version shown in photos*** Cera Glass Company was a world-renowned glass manufacturer during the Mid-Century era featuring vibrant colorful designs and intricate details for their cocktail glassware and barware. A lovely set of Cera "World Atlas Map" glasses that include 6 rocks glasses. Such a magical pattern with its heavy embossing of old world atlas maps outlined in 22k gold. Similar to Culver and other MCM glassware manufacturers, Cera used a heavily textured embossing method with real 22k gold in the pattern. The old fashioned glass, otherwise known as the rocks glass and lowball glass (or simply lowball), is a short tumbler used for serving spirits, such as whisky, neat or with ice cubes ("on the rocks"). It is also normally used to serve certain cocktails, such as the old fashioned. Old fashioned glasses typically have a wide brim and a thick base, so that the non-liquid ingredients of a cocktail can be mashed using a muddler before the main liquid ingredients are added.
