Hello and welcome to my "Buy it Now" sale. This sale is for One (1) of President Jimmy Carter's, Official andScarce, Presidential Seal / White House China Charger Plate. These plates were manufactured by the Lenox China Corporation in 1980 specifically for and under the direction ofPresident and Mrs. Carter. These official items were given to and then later obtained from a former executive of Lenox for their help in the percurrent, design, and manufacturing of said plates for the former President and First Lady of the United States.

The plate in this sale is the SCARCE 10.5 inch, Official President Carter, White House Service, Charger Plate. The item pictured is the very item up for sale. The plate has no chips or cracks and appears to be in MINT Condition. Please look at the pictures and judge for yourself.

The 10.5 inch State Charger Plate:
Spectacular Lenox "Charger" plate from Jimmy Carter's 1980 White House, State Service China.Evoking the Truman design, the striking white service plate measures 10.5? in diameter, and features a huge presidential coat of arms at center, with a very wide celadon green border edged by gilt patterned with stars and stripes. Reverse bears the Lenox maker's mark: "Exhibit Collection for Lenox, Inc., Made in U.S.A., The White House, 1980." In fine condition. The special 'Exhibit Collection' plates were designated for displays of Chinainside the White House or to be lent to museums, or presidential libraries.
Friendsof President and Mrs. Carter presented them a service from Lenox China decorated with with gold Presidential Seal and a "Carter Green" border surrounded in intricate 3D gold detail. The well-known White House China collector, Set Momjian, led the private fundraising for the project. Although the beautiful Chinais marked in gold--"The White House - 1980", "President Jimmy Carter" and the Lenox "L" (surrounded by laurel leaves) are all acceptable. The Presidential service was completed after Carter left the White House in 1981. Therefore, all their "Official" White House China was delivered to the Library, in that no public funds had been expended.
