The USS Defiant, trapped in Interphase space along the edge of the Tholian Empire. Lost and never to be recovered, UNTIL NOW!
First seen in Season Three, Episode 9 of Star Trek (The Original Series), \"The Tholian Web\", the USS Defiantis found adrift, and Captain Kirk, Spock, Dr. McCoy, and Chekov transport across wearing environmental suits for protection. Aboard Defiant, they find the crew dead, seemingly having killed one another.The boarding party discovers the Defiant is slowly fading out of our universe. At one point, McCoy passes his hand through an almost invisible man and a table.
In a two-part episode of Star Trek: Enterprise called \"In a Mirror, Darkly\", it is revealed the Defiant has reappeared in the Mirror Universe of Captain Archer\'s time, where it is first salvaged by the Tholians and then stolen by the Terran Empire.The Glow in the Dark Defiant is a standard size (5\") Eaglemoss ship which has been treated with special Glow in the Dark paint. This is Bonus Issue # 10 of the Eaglemoss series. As you can see from the video in this sale, the paint currently retains it\'s glow in the dark properties. The base you see in the pictures is from one of my other Eaglemoss ships from my personal collection, the base for your Defiant has never been unsealed or removed from the box. The ship has only been removed from its box for the purposes of taking the pictures you see in this listing.
