This Photo from when he was at North Dakota in 1944-45. (see below)Vintage original WWII 1942-5 Photo I just removed from USAAF Private Walter Kucharz of Chicago IL. Start out in June of 1942 at Camp Grant IL. In July, Walt was at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. Aug 1st 1942 finds him at Great Falls, MT Gore Field Airbase with Air Transport Command, 7th Ferrying Group and with the 902nd Guard Squadron. In Oct & Nov 1943 he was at USAAF Aviation Guard School in Miami and then back to Gore Field Airbase. In 1944 he was transferred to Bismarck, North Dakota. Stationed at the 576th AAF Base Unit, 7th Ferrying Service Station. Air Transport Command at Municipal Airport. He is once again was guard there. He took many aircraft photos & most of the photos have aircraft type written on front and back. In 1945 he starts training as an airplane Mechanic. He completes Basic Air Mechanics in May of 1945 at Rosecrans Field, St Joseph, MO.
