This product is an original daguerreotype photograph of a woman in a Black Union Case ((K-126 & 127) featuring the Indian Monument in Havana, Cuba. Photo was likely taken in the 1850’s.

There is an older note card with what appears to be modern writing on it with information about Isabella II, the Queen of France from 1833 to 1868. This photograph resembles Isabella, but I think it is a stretch to identify it as Isabella II.

Condition: Union Case is in Very good condition with no visible cracks. A few small flea bites. Velvet pad is loose- but there & in excellent condition. Hinges just slightly loose. Clasp intact & works well. Glass, mat & preserver in good condition. Daguerreotype is in very good condition with solarization or tarnishing around the mat. See photos.
