This is my nicest bell yet and the 8004156 is stamped in small font which means it\'s older than the large font bells.This small font bell, in my opinion, is made with even greater care (compared to large font bronze bells) and has a very nice appearance and patina.The steel/iron bracket was quite rusty and difficult to remove from the bell so I soaked it upside down in a vinegarsolution to clean the rust and free the bracket from the bronze bell. I\'ve cleaned and oiled the bracket and the bracket andclapper appear unpainted.
TOTAL WEIGHT 52lbsTOTAL HEIGHT 14\"Bell is 12\" Tall and 12\" WIDENo cracks. Nice patina. The brass/bronze bell is rough in some spots with some marks on the outer bell (see photos). The bottom edge is good with only very minor dings. The source of this bell is an EMD retiree and while the clapper may have been used, the vintage bronze bell had never been deployed and hence is unpainted and the bottom edge is good (original as from the factory) with minimal wear. The bell had been in attic storage for years.STAMPS
