150-350 AD Ancient Coptic Terracotta Bead Rosary Necklace North African Artifact:

For sale is this Authentic Ancient Egyptian-Coptic (Romano-Christian) era Terracotta Bead Necklace. It dates back to 1-4th century AD. They are made out of a terra-cotta clay and come from North Africa. Disclaimer: these were likely all found separately (in totally different places throughout the region) and were restrung later (in modern times). These are 100% guaranteed authentic ancient artifacts. They are incredible pieces and would make a great addition to any collection!

These ancient beads are mould-made and were then cut into individual beads from the resulting rods. Consequently, all beads are unique and vary from individual circular beads to 'rods' of up to ten discoid beads. Originally used as rosaries by the earliest Coptic Christian Church in the Monasteries of the Western Desert and Sinai. Today, the Coptic Church is the oldest surviving Christian church in the world. Don’t pass it up!
