Spode Felspar Porcelain Birds of Paradise Lg Comport & 2 Oval Serving Dishes condition - see the photos for best description of condition - large comport is 14 1/8\" by 9 1/2\" and stands 5 1/2\" tall - 2 oval serving dishes are 11\" long by 7 5/8\" wide and sit 2\" tall - Bird of Paradise pattern, all are highlighted with gilt. Some wear to the pattern is shown, one chip only - on the base inside rim of one of the serving dishes. These pieces would have been part of an early 19th century 28 piece Spode Felspar porcelain dessert service. Spode Felspar porcelain mark with the number 4750 Birds of Paradise, were made from 1800-1849. The set would have been comprised of 21 plates, a large oval comport, 5 assorted oval dishes and a shaped dish. Up for sale is the large comport and 2 of the assorted oval dishes, in the bird of paradise pattern. All 3 of the pieces have the pattern highlighted with gilt. thanks for viewing my item!
