Dating to the 1800s, Napoleon III period, sourced from ansale in France.

Bouquet of church flowers, adorning a church altar, once ina golden or highly decorated flower vase.

Sparkling flowers accented by sequins would have caught theflicker of the altar candles. In the middle are 2 extraordinary wheat leaves,symbols for abundance and charity.

The flowers are made of linen, the leaves are made of paperand have been gilded. Mounted on a wire stick covered in faded yellow paperaccented by an old silk ribbon. Colors are still vibrant.
