This is missing about half the belt, the part that holds the sword and the other metal piece that attaches to the “S” hook wirh “US” on it.

This is antique from 1832, so it defiantly shows its signs on the leather belt attached.

One can just have this piece or look for another part to go with this.

I loved learning about this item, when I searched the web, with its picture.

It is a 2 piece military buckle attached by a center s hook, one side of buckle has eagle 🦅 on it and the other U S on it. Then the “V” part of belt is missing for the sword.

When I was researching this piece, I was thinking, I cannot imagine the person wearing it, what visons they had all around them, on a daily basis. I come from a military family.
