1860s PRETTY TEAL HEMINGRAY MELON RIBBED 1/2 GALLON FRUIT JAR DAMAGED AS IS:

Here\'s a very scarce half gallon melon ribbed Hemingray fruit jar from the 1860s....unfortunately, it is badly damaged, but at least has a nice display side...no embossing.... hand blown in mold....early flat smooth base....18 vertical rounded columns or ribs around jar with rounded tops at shoulder.....ground threaded collar....pretty teal or dark Hemingray aqua.....9 1/2\"tall....The bottom was broken out when dug and reglued back. One small piece is missing on very bottom, so there is a hole in bottom. A crack runs 6 1/2\"up back of jar mainly on one column; Also has another faint curved crack. Displays nice though from one side. A dug jar with light haze. A nice looking jar even with the bad damage>Made at the Gray Hemingray & Brothers Glass Works of Cincinnati, Ohio in the 1860s.. . .
